DeltaMate GPU Block – ROG Astral RTX 5090

The DeltaMate GPU Block – ROG Astral RTX 5090 GPU water block features a massive copper cooler consisting of two cold plates screwed together.  

For the core cold plate, which makes contact with the graphics chip, a modular ultra-high-performance cold plate with a slot width of 0.2 mm and a fin width of 0.2 mm at a height of 2.5 mm is used.

This results in a nickel-plated copper surface area of ​​21,009 mm² for the core cold plate. The VRM/VRAM cold plate for the video memory (VRAM) and the voltage regulators (VRM), weighing over 1,100 grams, is made of nickel-plated copper.  

The contact surfaces for the graphics chip (GPU), the video memory and the voltage converters are finely milled after blasting with glass beads to ensure the best possible heat transfer.

The DeltaMate GPU water block for the ROG Astral RTX 5090 comes pre-assembled with the DeltaMate GPU Block – Direct Terminal, made of solid brass, featuring one inlet and one outlet with G1/4-inch threads. Brass, as a copper-zinc alloy, offers the advantage of being anodically compatible with other metals and is both harder and more corrosion-resistant than pure copper. The water block’s black anodized aluminum housing contains a strip of 27 addressable RGB LEDs that illuminate the tempered acrylic window. 

These LEDs can be controlled via a 3-pin ARGB header (+5V/DATA/GND) on the motherboard. After milling, the acrylic glass undergoes a tempering process that reduces internal stresses. This ensures that no stress cracks form in the acrylic glass, even after long-term use, unlike what can occur with tempered acrylic glass.

“The Oracle”
GPU water block is shipped mounted on a standoff PCB (or “dummy” PCB). This PCB, dubbed “The Oracle,” has the same dimensions as the original ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 PCB. This dummy PCB allows the water block to be used straight out of the box, simplifying the planning of a custom water-cooling loop. This allows for verification of correct alignment and fit before any disassembly, significantly streamlining the custom loop setup process. “The Oracle” PCB also serves as a template for the assembly process, containing information such as screw and thermal pad locations. After the water block is installed, it can also be used to reassemble the original air cooler for storage purposes.

Note:
The DeltaMate GPU Block – ROG Astral RTX 5090 requires assembly and is recommended for use and installation by experienced users.

DO NOT use in combination with water-cooling-based components made of aluminum where the coolant comes into contact with aluminum, e.g., radiators with aluminum tubing. We recommend suitable coolants containing biocides and corrosion inhibitors and free of particles that could restrict water flow or clog the loop. The custom water cooling system should be pressure tested for leaks with an air pressure gauge for at least 1 hour before filling. After filling, the system should be checked regularly for coolant leaks during the first 24 hours.
