File Submission Guidelines for Laser Cutting & Etching:

To ensure optimal results and avoid additional design fees, we encourage clients to submit properly formatted files. Below are the accepted file types and preparation requirements for both laser cutting and laser etching services.

Laser Cutting – Accepted Vector File Formats:

We accept the following vector-based formats for laser cutting. Files should be exported or saved in one of the formats listed below:
  • - AI (Adobe Illustrator)
  • - EPS (Adobe Illustrator)
  • - DXF (must be exported as 2D)
  • - DWG (must be exported as 2D)
  • - PDF (Vector-based content only; PDF acts as a wrapper)
  • - Vector based Files
    • Important: All text must be converted to outlines or curves prior to submission. This process—often referred to as “converting text to curves” or “breaking apart text to polylines”—ensures accurate rendering. If fonts are not outlined, our system may substitute them, resulting in incorrect output.

    Laser Etching – Accepted Raster File Formats:
    For laser etching, files must be raster-based and designed at the final output size with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Upscaling low-resolution images (e.g., 72 DPI web graphics) will result in poor quality and is not recommended.

    Accepted formats include:

  • - BMP (300 DPI at final size)
  • - JPG (300 DPI at final size)
  • - PSD (300 DPI at final size)
    • All submitted files will be reviewed for compatibility and resolution integrity prior to production. Proofs provided will closely reflect the final etched result.
